The client

Miconex runs gift card programmes for 200+ towns and cities across the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada - including the Sheffield Gift Card - helping drive local spend back into the communities that need it.

The challenge

Miconex's focus is on growing the number of business communities they work with and getting consumers engaged with local programmes. That's a full-time job. What they didn't have time for was knocking on the doors of national high street retailers to explain the benefits of joining their gift card network - but without those retailers on board, the programmes are less attractive to consumers.

What we did

We took the retailer outreach off Miconex's plate entirely. Working as Musgrove Consulting - which subsequently merged with Bravand - we identified and connected with the relevant contacts at major high street brands, as well as the agencies that manage retail partnerships on their behalf.

The result: Miconex gained access to around 80 retailers ready to open conversations, without diverting any internal focus from their core business.

Miconex is now a longstanding Bravand client. You can see more of our work together across the case studies on this site.
