Got talent?

Yeah yeah, we create award winning work in a team spread across several timezones but what’s it actually like to be part of the Bravand collective?

A set of top trump cards of the Bravand team.

We pay invoices faster than you can say 30 day terms

When working on our project, we expect you to spend your time and energy on being the brilliant, creative, geeky, questioning, collaborative person you are. We do not expect your time and energy to be wasted on chasing paperwork. We run a weekly payment run every Friday – if we have the cash in the bank to pay your invoice, we do it. We haven’t analysed the data yet but we’re pretty confident that 95% of our invoices are paid early.
(That 5% was down to not setting up a direct debit in time – grrr).

Like working from home?
SO DO WE!

We’ve been working remotely for over 5 years now. We’re happy for all team members to work when they want, where they want, as long as the timelines are met and the work is on brief. Every now and then we may need to meet as a team or with a client, and we have all the workspace memberships and post it notes to make that work too. But if a team call will do, we’ll stick with that – and if you haven’t done your hair yet, we’re cool with you keeping the video off…

Credit where credit is due

Hello? Is it us you’re looking for?

If you tick any of these boxes, we’d love to talk:

Crayons

  • UI/UX-ers
  • Animators
  • Graphic Designers

Suits

  • Product Managers
  • Project Managers
  • BAs

Wizards

  • Data Modellers
  • Developers
  • Testers

Wordsmiths

  • Copywriters
  • Social Media Planners
  • Content Creators

What we’re seeing, and the feedback we’re getting at this end, from the Editorial Board, the Trustees, Instructors and Learners is that the content is so much more visible, discoverable and accessible, now. It’s so obvious that there are so many additional resources for Instructors and Learners. And that’s exactly what we set out to achieve. Kudos to you and the team - this really highlights why it was so important to spend so much time in that early phase on user research, UX and testing.

Togetherall is much more able to learn about our audiences and adapt the site quickly to serve new content in a continuous cycle of improvement. From an admin perspective, serious consideration went into the configuration of the Word Press components in a way that provides maximum flexibility in the CMS but without any clunky UX or complexity. The go-live week was the smoothest site launch I had ever done; we had a lot of migration risks, but there were no major issues, the site speed was fantastic and we saw minimal SEO impact from the switch over.

We always knew this was going to be an iterative process and we’ve new ideas and bigger ambitions to keep on innovating and developing. We’re able to do this because in Bravand, we've a team that understands, not only the intricate workings of the website but also the processes and behaviour of our business. The team has learned how our systems need to work and gets the thinking behind and beyond the work we do. He's become an additional and essential expert in the way the news site needs to work and the ethical journeys we have to travel on as a human rights journalism outlet.
