Empowering organisations to move from compliance to maturity

The Challenge

Organisations increasingly recognise that cybersecurity is more than ticking boxes. They face complex threats, multiple frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001), and limited clarity about where they stand today vs where they need to go.

In this context, Cyber Alchemy approached Bravand with a clear vision: "create a digital platform that transforms cyber-strategy from abstract to actionable.".

The Solution

Working together, Bravand (UX / UI, product design, engineering) and Cyber Alchemy (security testing + resilience assessments + compliance = domain expertise) developed the Cybersecurity Roadmap Platform, with three core features:

• Personalised maturity assessment: Users complete an online questionnaire and receive a maturity-score across defined maturity levels.
• Visual roadmap: Aligned with major standards such as NIST and ISO 27001, the platform generates a clear-to-follow roadmap that maps from current state → target state.
• Actionable recommendations + service link-ups: Based on the assessment and roadmap, the platform suggests next-steps, including potential services offered by Cyber Alchemy and trusted partners.

Execution

• Discovery and architecture: Bravand and Cyber Alchemy defined three maturity tiers (e.g., Baseline, Managed, Optimised), mapped the assessment logic, and sketched the user flows for assessment → score → roadmap.
• UX and UI: Bravand designed the interface to be engaging yet professional - avoiding heavy technical clutter, focusing on clarity and user empowerment.
• Backend and integration: The platform architecture included a lightweight assessment engine, rules-based roadmap generator, and a dashboard view for users.
• Launch and rollout: After internal testing, the platform was released to target organisations.

• Focus on continuity: By framing cybersecurity as a “journey of continuous improvement” (rather than a one-time audit) the platform aligns with how organisations actually evolve.
• Standards alignment: By anchoring the roadmap to recognised frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) credibility was built from the start.
• User-centric simplification: Complexity was hidden behind neat user-flows, intuitive scoring dashboards and visual roadmaps - lowering barrier for non‐technical stakeholders to engage.
