The client
Euro Car Parts (ECP) is one of the UK's largest distributors of car parts and accessories, operating around 200 locations across Europe including 16 distribution centres in the UK.
The challenge
ECP's last-mile delivery process - from distribution centre to local branch to garages, autocentres and workshops - relied entirely on paper manifests and wet signatures for proof of delivery.
The result: almost no tracking capability, stock going missing, and refunds being claimed with no way to audit them. A significant amount of money was being lost, but no one could put a precise number on it.
What we designed
We designed a new digital proof-of-delivery system built around handheld scanning hardware. Digitising delivery manifests and signatures meant every delivery could be tracked, losses could be identified, and accountability could be established across the chain.
Bravand led the upfront strategy, scoping and design. A software development partner already in place with ECP handled the build.
