Betty Boop gets online makeover!

Classic cartoon character Betty Boop has revealed a new look responsive website.

The site, designed and built by Bravand, features an extensive online shop powered by Amazon’s API, enabling fans of the character to shop across a wide range of clothing and merchandise from official licensed sellers.
The newly relaunched Betty Boop website is fully optimized for the multiple platforms and devices that fans have come to live by. Other features include competitions and promotions, a blog, live social media feeds across Twitter and Instagram featured on the homepage, as well as a triple-tiered Facebook feed taking in content from the character’s three core Facebook pages across the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia.
“This has been a fantastic project to work on both in terms of design and development,” says Bravand Managing Director Jilly Cross. “From being able to get creative with such an icon of the cartoon world, to partnering with one of the largest of e-commerce engines, bringing Betty into the modern world has been an absolute pleasure.”

The New York-based company works closely with Fleischer Studios as the worldwide exclusive licensing agent for Betty Boop. King Features commissioned Bravand in December 2014 to redesign the site following a three-way pitch.
